About Institute of Medicine (IOM):

Established in 1972 under the Tribhuvan University. Institute of Medicine (IOM) is one of the most prominent colleges in Nepal. The Institute of Medicine is managed and run by a team of 1200 experienced officials. The institute offers 280 undergraduate courses in the medical field and 104 postgraduate courses. Currently the institute has 7 constituent campuses, 1 central department, 15 affiliated colleges and 3 tertiary level teaching hospitals.

The Institute of Medicine was established with the objective :

  • To produce of health-related human resources required for health services and education .
  • To provide health services through its health institutions
  • To conduct research in health sciences
